Description

Monster Burgers are juicy, cheesy, and playfully spooky—perfect for Halloween dinner or a themed party. With jagged cheddar teeth, olive eyes, and pickle tongues, these burgers transform classic comfort food into fun, festive creatures the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Burgers:
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • For the Monster Decorations:
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (cut into jagged “teeth”)
  • 4 pickle slices (for “tongues”)
  • 8 green olives or cherry tomatoes (for “eyes”)
  • Lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, or other toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 burger patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet or on a grill. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
  3. Cut cheddar slices into jagged triangles. Place on patties in the final minute of cooking so the cheese melts slightly, forming “monster teeth.”
  4. Lightly toast buns. Add lettuce and tomato to bottom bun, top with burger patty, then place a pickle slice hanging out like a “tongue.”
  5. Skewer two olives or cherry tomatoes on toothpicks and insert into the top bun to create “eyes.”
  6. Serve immediately with ketchup or mustard for extra spooky flair.

Notes

Monster Burgers are great for Halloween parties or themed dinners! Prep patties up to a day in advance and cook just before serving. Use sliders for mini monster versions, or offer a DIY decorating station so guests can build their own spooky creations. Mozzarella or provolone work if you want fangs instead of jagged teeth.
