Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz apple vodka
  • 1 oz sour apple schnapps
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 1 oz cranberry or pomegranate juice
  • ½ fresh lime (juice)
  • 1 splash grenadine
  • Optional: 1–2 drops black food coloring
  • Black or red sugar (for rimming glasses)
  • Thin apple slices or cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rim glasses with black or red sugar by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping into sugar.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine apple vodka, sour apple schnapps, apple cider, cranberry juice, and lime juice.
  3. Add grenadine and a drop of black food coloring (if using).
  4. Shake well until chilled.
  5. Strain into prepared glass and garnish with a thin apple slice or cinnamon stick.

Notes

To make a non-alcoholic version, substitute the vodka and schnapps with extra apple cider and cranberry juice. For dramatic effect, garnish with dry ice (do not consume until fully dissolved).
