Description
Vampire Blood Smoothie is a deep red, fruity drink made with berries, pomegranate, and a touch of beet for that creepy Halloween color—perfectly sweet, healthy, and spooky enough for kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 small cooked beet (or ½ beet if you’re new to the flavor)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- ½ cup raspberries
- ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 cup coconut milk or plain yogurt
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
- Optional add-ins:
- ½ banana (for extra sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed
- Ice cubes (if using fresh fruit)
Instructions
- Place beet, frozen strawberries, raspberries, and pomegranate seeds into a blender.
- Add coconut milk or yogurt, followed by honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Adjust consistency with a splash more milk if it’s too thick, and taste to adjust sweetness.
- Pour into glasses or jars and garnish with spooky extras like strawberry puree “blood,” gummy worms, or vampire teeth.
Notes
Serve immediately for best texture and color. You can store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours in sealed jars or freeze leftovers in popsicle molds for a Halloween treat.
